Rhodiola Rosea is an adaptogenic herb with a long history of medicinal use in various northern cultures, dating back many centuries. It is touted as having the remarkable ability to reduce stress while simultaneously improving energy levels in healthy, yet otherwise stressed, individuals. Rhodiola Rosea works by modulating the activity of a variety of neurotransmitters involved in the regulation of mood and cognition like dopamine, serotonin, and adrenaline to provide cognitively stimulating yet emotionally calming effects. Work and Life Stress
In a study involving 56 work-stressed male and female physicians, Rhodiola Rosea was found to significantly reduce fatigue during cognitively and physically demanding nighttime shifts. [3]
Similarly, in another study of 101 life-stressed adults, Rhodiola Rosea was shown to enhance concentration, improve overall quality of life, and effectively reduce both stress and fatigue. [4]
