Pyridoxine is a form of vitamin B6 found in foods like chickpeas, tuna, and bananas. Vitamin B6 functions as a cofactor in the synthesis of the neurotransmitters GABA - the main ‘calming’ neurotransmitter - and dopamine. Pyridoxine works synergistically with other ingredients in Bonbuz formulations to increase levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain.
Anxiety
A study of 478 young reported reduced anxiety in subjects treated with pyridoxine, consistent with its role in supporting GABA synthesis. [1]
